Sue McDougall lives and works in Hastings.

She gained an MA in Fine Art at the University of Brighton (2015). In 2013 she completed a Foundation Degree (FDA) in Fine Art Contemporary Practice also with the University of Brighton, at Sussex Coast College, Hastings

Previously Sue had a career as a writer and journalist, writing on national newspapers including the Financial Times, London Evening Standard, Independent on Sunday and the Daily Mail.

Competitions

Sue is the winner of the Hackney Road Sculpture Prize which was organized by the Eastside Educational Trust. Her design will be at the centre of regeneration project by Regal Homes which will bring 200 new homes and 1000 jobs to the area.

She is a finalist in the 2016 Broomhill National Sculpture Prize: her sculpture can be seen in the Broomhill Sculpture Park until Spring 201
